Removal of swivel seat (passenger)?

Post by Trilobyte_simon »

Help please ...

I need to replace my main car battery ... '80s vw westy

... however the base of the swivel seat prevents the battery from being taken out.

Is it a difficult job? Where do i start?

Thanks, Simon

Slide your seats off the runners..........pull handle up, slide the seat as far forward as you can then lift up the little metal lever on the side of the seat that prevents it from sliding off.

Then just unbolt your swivel base

Have tried to rotate chair to see if it gives more clearance space for the battery ... doesn't seem to work?

Thanks ....
