HOW DO I KEEP WIND DEFLECTORS IN PLACE

Post by OLD ONE »

I have tried several makes of wind deflectors and all give me the same problem.. They will not stay in place. The latest ones are DUBFLECTOR, as recommended by a club member. At least these came with clips to hold them in position ( unlike some others) but they still slowly slide out and I am concerned that one of them may well fall out and cause an incident.
Has anyone over come this problem? If so how. Some ideas please. :ok

I have the Dubflectas and, although the back corner drops half an inch or so, they have never dropped any further. The fact that you have to twist them to fit in shows that they could not drop out without that twist being applied. :ok

My dub flecta ones wouldn't stay in at the bottom, and the metal clip just kept popping out. Tiger seal holds it though!

I can't see the point in them during the Summer months though. This time of year I want the wind in, not try to keep it out. I find they're far more use in bad weather where you want a little air but not rain and sleet all over your seats.

The best thing in hot weather is that you can leave both windows partially open when parked. Keeps internal temp down and keeps dry when the summer showers come along.

Same issue here, the little s/s clips didn't seem to work at all well, followed fitting instructions and the window seals are pucker VW ones. That said, mine haven't really moved since fitting them, without the clips. Probably a half cm at the bottom, on the near side door only.
Definately keeps van interior cooler when parked up and not in use though... :ok

I used double sided sticky tape when mine were moving. Haven't moved since.
I don't know where I am, but I'm having a lovely time!

The problem I am suffering is that the lower end adjacent to 1/4 light keeps popping out and has wrecked the outer rubber on the window seal.
Thank for all contributions, I will be trying double stick and may be some other ideas...Cheers all.
