need to replace all trim, did i read once that some people used trim for old mini's ?

There's trim on the gutters?!?!?

Mini wheel arch trim does indeed fit. As always though, some sort of sealant/adhesive is needed as any trim that high up is subject to being lifted by the wind.

why not just buy the genuine trim and end pieces

Cos mini wheel arch trim is significantly cheaper. No other reason, well, apart from the fact you can get it in chrome finish which can look great on a Caravelle. You can round the ends with a file. Otherwise buy genuine. Simple.
