late sliding door roller replacement

Tonydata on here poped round last week and as he was about to leave his sliding door fell off
Ok typical broken roller, luckily I had a old spare, in a hurry we fitted it and popped the door back on the rail but it was a tight squeeze to get it on

Now we want to fit a new one and I'm wondering if there is a proper way to remove the hinge mech from the rail or is it just a case of lift and pull it off?

you can do them with the slider cover in place if your carefull and have done a few but if not then remove slider cover, look for the raised cut out so to speak on the underside of the top part of the goude,clean area and mark with masking tape,
next have an axle stand or simmilar with a bit of carpet or rag over it and this should be about the same heihht as the bottom of the door, place it18" from rear of door and 18" away from van,,,
next slide door open till the vertical roller is just under the notch (that you marked 0 then hold the link arm and lift and as you do you swivel the pair of rollers away from the runner and the door is free,
now you move it fwd keping the top bearing near roof in its guide and move door fwd and out andf sit it onb the block/stand etc, takes a few seconds is all once youve done it a time or two

Nobody sells broken rollers but brickwerks sell unbroken rollers


This is the late one, having watched a door fall off I think worth replacing before it does
