Home restored t25 'woody'

Post by kear »

Hi , just thought I would share a few pics of my t25 with you all, he was finished in august after 12 months solid work, with all the usual rot. ( front and rear roof sections, arches, sill, screen corners, window surrounds etc etc far more work than I had anticipated but it wouldn't be fun if it was easy !
Just had a photo shoot for Camper and Commercial, should feature early in the new year
Hope you like them ( if the images don't appear it's because I've messed it up :ok

Hi, all work done at home , did have a bit of help on the welding and engine rebuild, but everything else done by me
Yea volksworld said they were interested in featuring the van then put it in the readers rides section, I guess you can't win them all
Tried to keep 'Woody' pretty retro, in his original colours
Cheers

Wow nice work!
I'm trying to restore my van myself, not sure it'll be that standard though. Do you mind if I ask... what wheels are they? And where did you get them? They are just the kind of style I am after...

Hi mate
The wheels are 17 inch Mercedes slk alloys, I bought them second hand but still boxed, they were machined out before I bought them, the stud pattern is the same, no adapters or spacers required. :ok
I did have to buy longer studs for the back,( a very easy job to change them ), and longer bolts for the front
Good luck with your resto
