Where do I fund the code for my distributor?

Hi,

I need a new vacuum unit for my distributor, but don't know where to look for the code.

Is it on top of the distributor cap?

Don't think so i reckon it should be on the dizzy body wot engine is it by the way

on the body of the disi it's stamped and usually the bosch number
dg upto chassis g045000 025 905 205J is the original disi, after that 025 905 205 Q , both now superseded by 025 905 205AE. for all the vacuum unit is 025 905 271 C, £15.15 plus vat minus discount for doing the looking up

Thanks. I just had someone look at it and they say the vacuum is OK. How would a weak vacuum affect driveability? I've noticed some flat spots, but not yet noticed a pattern to them. The engine seems to pull much better than my Volvo!
