Bigger mirrors are good for backing up, but at the same time driver side mirror may get in the way while taking turns towards his side. It acts like a blank spot. Be careful while positioning and fixing the mirror.

thank you narendra :idea
Well stuff going on for keeps after trail fittings, got an ss fitting kit for the skirts so on permanent, all this gunge is nicely hidden and should help keep things a bit longer
Image
covered
Image
something lacking here
Image
thats better :D
Image
got this
Image
very nice good quality ss aerial but the signal wire is very samll/thin compared to the original and the plug is the wrong one for the radio as fitted as it needs the rht angle plug so soldered the old one to it, encapsulated it and done
Image
if you want to fit this aerial through from the bottom then you will have to open up the elongated hole as it will not fit with the cable connected, I chose to fit it and connect the cable from above which was another can of worms, not helped by the fact that the original cable was wound round stuff so couldnt be used as a pull through guide..
Image
tidied stuff while I was in here as the in-screen aerial has also to be routed to the o/side
Image
Ive circled the hole which I have filled from above with sealer, the arrow shows the connector which just fits bent at 90' and the zig zags are either side of the threaded connector, I was loathe to shove my skinny hand in there without removing the clockset etc as there are too many cables to be dislodged etc.
anyhow here it is fitted and very nice it is
Image
thankfully it extends verticaly and not squewiff...
so tommorow will be n/side skirts.door and whatever else arrives by courier

Ta,
Well had the courier call again from the eastern block lot with a couple of sets of hens teeth and another item of joy.
Image
got a few sets of these now
Image
Image
pickies of both sides of them as they are just so nice and will really finish(no pun micky) this van
Image
trial fits
Image
will treat the holes I just made in the nice paint before securing them tommorow, long skirt fitted, the last lug on the skirt was broken but the one that is 8mm fwd of it was used with the lower half of a spare bracket
1/4 lights in nearly fitted the wrong glasses but twigged in time
Image
Image
Just a note here. if your fitting factory locking then you will need the cranked rod as shown, I have placed the manual one under for comparison.
Image
Also forgot to menchion that as well as the rubber seal and metal retainer there is an appx 1" hole in this part of the door to receive the grommet/sleeve,
just some of the differences between manual doors and fully electric ones.
the black wire circled was in 2 parts and inside the grommet sleeve, lucky I had a closer look, now soldered and sealed up.
Image
Oh and this is the other goodie that arrived so out tommorow to get a load of ss fittings, self tappers etc
Image
takes ages to detail the finishing stuff but it all needs and has to be done.
mm :D

Coming along nicely. Those small mud guards are quite rare, Im lucky to have them already fitted on mine, but where the rear arch has been replaced, I still need to refit that last one, which I do have. Its not as in good shape as yours, and by that I mean the threaded studs, there rusty, and no nuts, so will remove, and replace those parts in the new year, then refit once repainted rear quarter.

Im also missing both rear mud flaps, so if anyone has any, pm me please :ok

Keep up the great work Mickey, its attention to detail that really pays off in the end mate.

Image
and o/side
Image
wheels back on and thats the front area here done.
Tailgate next nice new inserts for the badge
Image
Image
logo in, its a bit faded but easy swop if needs be
Image
lock grommet
Image
and lock happy fitted
Image
as this has central locking here are some picks of it installed
Image
Image
couldnt be simpler really, but you do need the lock button assembly that is for the central locking as they are not a retro fit
underside is nice and shiny and weve kept the sticker
Image
and the bottom that had the patch let in and the bent part now look as they should
Image
teas ready so m ore later
