Re: Overheating
air coming out while bleeding radiator on warm engine, no hot air through dash when warmed up. return hose not getting hot, air in header tank (should self rectify if dalek cap working correctly and coolant available in top up bottle.) what are your symptoms?

Re: Overheating
Hi Bob
Mine doesn't have the dalek style cap. Symptoms are as follows ,
1. Overheating after driving up hill for while or driving for more than 20 mins over 50 mph.
2. Coolant bubbling over and escaping from overflow ( via outlet at top)
3. Coolant seems to be evaporating ( or could be going into cylinder head at worst )
No sign of water in oil or vice versa.
No noticeable loss of power.
Thermostat tested and working fine
New waterpump 2 months ago
Mechanic seems to think it could be head gasket , tried KSeal but didnt work.
Just wanted to rule out smaller things before more expensive jobs.
Cheers
