Carb problem

Post by David Last »

My VW trained Mech. tells me the " carb. choke pull down unit"is u/s and he cannot source one frome his usual supplier, German and Swedish I think they are called. They asked for the engine number then said their supplier would not release one for an engine of that age(1990).Strange Huh :?:
Can any one suggest where I might get one, cost etc and has anyone else had this problem? The motor runs fine after a minute or two but with a trip to the Emerald Isle coming up I would like to fix it.
Cheers
Dave

I looked everywhere for one a few months ago and Simon at brickwerks sent me the last one he had, they are becoming very difficult to obtain.
GSF were out of stock when i was looking.

carb problem

Hello again
I have tried GSF for the choke pull down unit and despite being listed as advised in good faith they tell me it is obsolete and not available and will be delisted.
So can anyone help me with this item or is it the scrap yard challenge?
Not too many in this area.
Cheers
Dave
