manifold heater
needs some help,no power to manifold heater,fitted new temp sensor, still no power ,when short out sensor connector power at heater, got temp sensor from gsf took back as faulty still no joy with next one?,,1989 dg1900

Not a master of the dark arts (aka a sparky ) but if oneGSF sender was faulty perhaps the whole batch was. The dalek caps are all iffy.

same problem here, mine came from GSF Ipswich and faulty!

the switch should pass a current until 60 deg C
that's when it turns off the heaters (Carb choke and manifold)
the relay (No.1) is found in the junction box, in the engine bay (left bulkhead)
As an aside here, I have just set up a manual switch as I too suffered with no heater.
With the syncro thermostat housing that came with the new engine, I can't fit the proper push in with a clip thermo switch.
unless I get off my ars* and fit the proper housing
that's when it turns off the heaters (Carb choke and manifold)

ordered one from Brickwerks will try that if not will fit manual switch on dash....

have you checked the continuity across the switch?
i.e. does it pass a current when cold?

no.but there is current to connector bot not across switch?

either it's the switch or the connectors
have you a curcuit tester, like one that beeps, when you check a switch across it's unconnected terminals?
