I am about to swap my 1.9 for a 2.1, can i use my 1.9 starter motor as it was only reconditioned a couple of months ago, or will i have to use the one from the 2.1?
Cheers.

I am sure your starter will be Ok. Did you change the gearbox bush when you had the old one rebuilt? If not, do it when you swop engines much easier then.

Pop it in one of those resealable plastic bags with some engine oil NOW so it is nice and lubed up when you need to use it

I take it then only the diesel engines had self supporting starting motors. Would I be correct?
