Newbie question! Original bilstein jack, please help!

Post by BHCampervan »

Hi all

Very quick (and probably dumb) question... I have the original bilstein jack which I am trying to use on my bus (Like this one... http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Vw-Camper-T25 ... 0911504033) HOWEVER I cannot figure out for the life of me how it works?!

If I put it vertically on the floor, with the handle at the top this looks like how it should function, but the support which comes out horizontally is hinged the wrong way (i.e. it as soon as weight goes on it it folds down again)

PLEASE HELP THIS DUMB ASS!!

Cheers
Rob.

^^ WHS

You need to do as you are, but then stick the horizontal bar in the jacking points on the side of the van - its carefully designed so you can only use the proper jacking points!!

Good luck!!

Just so you know there are 2 versions of the original VW jack. One for vans with body kits.(It has a longer arm)and one with a shorter arm for standard vans.

Had this problem myself today. Until I realised some one had removed the jacking point... Buggas.
