Gear Reduction Starter

I enquired at Electrostart if they have a starter for a 1.6D and got this reply...

"Hi, we do have the later smaller gear reduction starter motor"

I do understand the difference between the two starter motors (I think) but any comments on ordering this instead of the style that I pulled out of the van?
