Morning. I'm going to fit some new brake calipers today to my T25 today.
Its a 1982 2.0 Air cooled and its got the Teves type calipers.
My question is that there don't seem to be any anti rattle plates in the old ones and I haven't been able to find anywhere that has these in stock. So is it OK to fit the pads without these?
Thanks

Re: Anti rattle pads for front brake pads
Just put a smear of copper grease on the backs of the pads. Mine don't have these plates and I've not had a prob but I did use the copper grease.

the shims are anti-squeal not anti-rattle - copper grease is the way forward

Thanks for the info.
So far this has taken me most of today! Needed a scaffold pole on the end of ratchet to get caliper bolts off then had to go and buy a special 11mm spammer to get the nut holding the hard brake line to caliper.
As it turned out one of the hard lines was fused to the nut and ended up trashing the pipe.
Other one came off ok though.
Hoping to get a new pipe made up tomorrow and should be straightforward from there!
