Diesel Starter Motor Quick Replies appreciated

Post by Dubwana »

Where do you advise I buy a new starter (or recon) for a 1981 1.6D?

I replaced the brushes & holder two years ago after the bearings wore out and broke the metal bits holding the brushes. Now its gone again, I don't think it's the starter, that we rebuilt, but just a pooh part. Where do you recommend I order a replacement starter from? I'd appreciate a quick reply as I'm travelling through the UK tomorrow for a shortish trip and would like to order as quickly as possible. Anyone done this recently?

JustKampers seem expensive, Brickwerks is out of stock, any suggestions?

Thanks in advance

No problems at all with it so far and as it is not exchange I still have my old one to strip down at my leisure to see if I can repair.

Thanks. Apologies for slow reply. I was travelling. I think I'll go for that. Dubwana
