Water leak!

Post by gypo »

We are on a bit of a jolly again up to West Wales. I just noticed 2 wet patches under the van, upon investigation I have discovered it is water. I did have a little bit of a water leak on the van a while back but put K-seal in it and it stopped it in its tracks.
About 2 weeks ago I flushed out the system and replaced the coolant 50/50 doing it all correctly. Could the leak be because of this flushing the K-seal out?
Cheers

Where is the leak coming from? K-seal is only a temporary measure generally. Would it not be better to cure the leak or is it head related.

It looks as if I have 2, one seems to be coming from what I think is the back of the thermostat housing on the gasket, the other I'm not sure, I've checked the bottle in the engine bay and it's full?

The studs look rusty and as if they are not going to come undone!
