Another engine/turbo question 1600 TD

Post by Troopy »

I am new to T25 ownership and haven't managed to get hold of the manual for the diesel models yet so was hoping I could get some help.

Some may have seen my other thread about a noisy turbo and today I was having a look around but couldn't spot it so........

1) Could anyone tell me/post a pic of where the turbo sits and

2) I spotted this pipe off the exhaust manifold (?) with nothing attached and it seemed a bit odd that there was no hose or anything so was hoping someone could tell me what, if anything is meant to be there (photos below).

Thanks in advance

Chris

The turbo sits under the inlet manifold, have a look underneath on the nearside and you'll see it.
The red arrow is pointing to a safety valve, if the turbo over boosts if there's a fault with the waste gate etc then this device let's the excess pressure release to atmosphere.
There shouldn't be anything connected to it so yours is as it should be.
