Afternoon all, could do with a hand before I go mad !!
Just replaced my silencer, and in doing so had to remove nearside manifold ! refitted everything with new gaskets and now the only issue I have is the exhaust is blowing from around the shroud welded to cylinder head end of the rear pipe/manifold...
When I removed this pipe the 2 bolt flange was loose from this pipe ??
Before I take it all off again arrrgghhh !!! I was wondering if this is normal or has mine fractured ?? If its supposed to be loose has anybody had any experience getting this to seal, is it a case of un bolting and re fitting again or is it new manifold time

Re: Exhaust blowing advice...
Try using some silencer paste when assembling and bolting it up
It reads like the flange has come away from the pipe.
it can easily be re-welded.

Cheers I think you're right, just didn't know if it had a rotating flange like some motorbikes do ??
Problem is can't split back manifold from front pipe as it rusted solid at the clamp area, I got it clear enough to fit gaskets but removing it compely for welding means cutting it off.....
aaaah the joys of campervan ownership, now where's that angle grinder

Re: Exhaust blowing advice...
This will seal it until you get the parts
I used some today on mine.
slap it on ..let it go off for a few hours then harden it up by running the engine
