Will a 2.1 MV engine work on a 2.1 dj engine loom ecu

Hi I have the chance of a 2.1 MV engine and was wondering if it would work in a 2.1 dj caravelle? Or would I need the MV engine loom and ecu? Thanks in advance

i had a van that orig came with an 2.1ss code engine and the prev owner had half fitted a 2.1 dj. i finished of the engine install but it wouldnt run. it was onafter failing to sttart that i realized they were different. got a dj loom dizzy ecu and idle stab box and it fired first time. mv has a lambda as well doesnt it so that ecu wont work on a dj. hink you will need same as i needed .

If you strip all the injection stuff off, then I think the only real internal difference between DJ and MV/SS is the compression ratio - DJ is higher. So long as you keep all the injection stuff consistent, I can't see there being a huge issue.

MV will run on DJ loom but won't be fully happy, basically it'll be a little overfuelled and have no way of adjusting that as no lambda connection to ecu with DJ set up
I have a complete MV harness/ecu if required
