Brosal carbs?

I've not seen them before and not heard owt about them... just wandered what people thought of them etc....

Hi,
I have a set of carbs sold by CB performance, I think they are the same as the JK & VW Heritage ones, they were fitted by PO as the existing std solex carbs were worn. I have managed to re fit the original air box set up with the crankcase breather and the warm air inlet, to do this I had to make up some adaptor rings to suit.See the link below. The vac pick up points for the distributor are not a straight swap, it took ne a long time to work it out without any tech info on them.
I have tried to get any/some technical details on them but have failed even CB Perf in the US cannot help.
I have still to get the carbs set up on a rolling road so I can't tell how good they will be when set correctly.

I can predict the answers you get from the others "get the original carbs rebuilt and re fit them, they were good enough for VW so they must be OK" or "Get a set of Delortos"

Yes - most people seem very vocal about carbs and many have specific opinions about them

I fitted webber ict 34s to a 2 ltr and dels 36's both work well, 36 are more smooth and adjustable and more fun to play with.

fit a set of dellortos. simple, theres nothing else like it pound for pound.

I suspect that your left leg may get a tad warm and what happens to your eyebrows when the carbs cough back?

wrapped the headers,shaped covers over it all (reg's) and it only ran on full chat for a max of 10-15 mins
induction noise was nice though

im out of here dont want to keep hijacking the op
that said i have no knowledge of the carbs but they are not cheap so would need convincing that they are as good if not better than known units.

I am not sure, they are the ones that were supplied with the carbs fitted by the PO. As I say I could not find any info on them.
If you fit some Dels you may find more places taht can set them up for you and have the jets at hand to do it.
