Re: Realy nice 16" (in Finland)
Are the slots on the left hand rear quarter to allow air into a charge cooler or similar?
If so it gives me an idea for oil cooling for my 2.1DJ But on the other rear 1/4.

He wouldnt be the first to put cooler slots there. There was a few like that at Syncro25.

It looks like an charge cooler rad. Not to sure about having the vents where they are though so low down,

Re: Realy nice 16" (in Finland)
looks like he`s fitted the cooler between the inner and outer panel. above the floor line??
would have to be a bloody good job to seal that off from the inner space.

it`s a big round cage and there`s too many animals in it for my liking. To help address this ring lee on 07977 765818.

Good points Jed and lee. I'll have to explore this a bit more. I guess the air intake on the top rear 1/4 will be OK with a fan blowing in the right direction (i.e. out to in) and would work for oil cooling. That's how tencent does it I think. I'll need also to check with syncrosimon because his oil cooler is front mounted with the consequent longer run of pipe work underneath.
This is a bit of hijack - sorry bout that - my first one I think!!

Vents are right in mud/dust pattern from front wheels. Is why VW moved vent up on all vans after splits.

It worked alright on the syncros skinny cousin the Porsche 911. That has a very convoluted pipe run to the front oil coolers. It's only the Americans that dont like the front mount. My garden hose is 40 meters long and that has been fantastically reliable with very little pressure loss or internal resistance.
