Its minus 23 today :)

Regarding power steering fluid, from what I understand, its pretty much engine oil, apart from areas such as here, and North America.

I'm guessing the stuff I removed had been in there for around a decade or more

Me too mate, me too. It's heartbreaking, as I have put so much work into him, and love him to bits, he's part of the family.

Due to a change in personal circumstances, sadly he maybe sold proving I get a good, honest, and sensible price considering he drives like new.

Here's hoping I don't have to sell, but we shall see. If anyone is seriously interested, drop me a pm, Im in no rush to sell, in fact I don't want to, but for the right coin, I will as my income has took a bashing due to lack of position, so earning a lot less now :(

That's a real shame you're selling. Lovely van!

If I were in a slightly different position, this message would include an offer.

Good luck with the sale though. :ok

Cheers Pete, it is indeed a shame, but due to a change in personal circumstances, he has to go, and feel I have priced him fairly considering how reliable he is, and all the new parts, work, and servicing he has been treated to.

Hi Micky,

Just read through this entire post. A great read and extremely useful for a new Syncro owner like myself. It's a real shame you have to sell the bus after all your work.

I'm off to Helsinki tomorrow to deliver Flint to his new owner. 500km journey, which I am looking forward to, early start, leaving at 5am, and hoping to get there for around 11am-12pm. Loaded him up with all the spares, and stuff I threw in with the for sale advert, checked all fluids, tyre pressures etc, and he's good to go.

Took Flint to the MOT Finnish style today as well, and he passed with flying colours, but not surprising really having been on top of him mechanical wise.

Here are some departing photos taken today, I will miss him, but needs must and all that. Found another T25 at the MOT station, see photo below...

Here's that other T25 I parked next to earlier at the test station..

And an old Beetle..

Flint was sold locally for just €3000. I feel I may of undersold him to be perfectly honest, but thats how it goes, the new owner is getting a cracking, solid, and very reliable Syncro that will last him 20+ years Im sure.

€3000? Blimey, that was a bargain for somebody. Near enough £2500 for a well-sorted Syncro.

I know, I do feel I have undersold him, I had him advertised locally for €4k, but no takers, I guess its the economy, everyone is feeling the pinch.

Been a long day, Flint didn't miss a beat all the way there, and the new owner thought he'd won the lottery, he was blown away with the condition for the giveaway price of just €3k

Sorry you had to get rid of it, that's too bad. Buyer got a great deal by the sound of it.
