Gear Wanted

Post by dougslug »

Please! please! does anyone out there have a broken or badly damaged gearbox they are prepared to sell parts from?

I need to replace the low cross country gear( part number 094 311 368) on my gearbox after the synchro dog seized on it and burred it all up.

It is the big gear on the outside of the main box, that shares the selector fork and synchro with the reverse gear.

I don't think this is a common failure point

Any comments?

Hi and thanks for the offer!

I dont know when I will next be within calling distance from you, though it may be late Feb when I am next in Bristol, so I shall give you a call nearer the day.

incidently, what does kill off most Syncro gearbox's in your experience?
