BFG Long Trails, or BFG A/T, or General Grabber AT or AT2s??

They are all a decent brand...I would go for bfg A/T meself.

The rubber (215/75/15 General ATs) is on the rims and going by the sucking of teeth in the tyre centre and the nervous reaction of Bucket Babe, they're huge!

Tomorrow is the day of fitting to our standard Syncro..... I hope they'll fit..... I couldn't take the egg on my face again if they don't :run

exactly the same tyres i had on my doka the first year, dont worry! if i never got them to rub on anything then you wont, absolutely brilliant tyre when there new on all surfaces but after a year they went from an AT tyre to a road tyre almost overnight so i sold them and bought some muds

To save the wear on my offroad tyres (215/75/15) I run standard syncro rims/tyres (205r14) for road use and save the muds for 'dirty weekends'

We may well do the same thing after we have our 14 s refurbished. Currently they are extremely leaky which could be the tyres or the rims being in poor order.

I remember the very same sucking of teeth sound when i went to see my local tyre guys to fit my most recent set of tyres, must admit though we were all concerned if they were going to fit on or not....

I took these size comparison shots at Aidans, the smallest one is a standard 14" 205 tyre iirc, and the largest a 235/85/16.

The mud terrain on the left in the second pic is a 215/75/15.

smallest one is a 185R14C, then the 205R14C, so that's the two stock 14" sizes, then the 215/75/15 BFG TM2, then Al's monster

You won't be able to fit Al's option on a 14" without extensive and expensive mods. !!!!

Yes, very good point Baz. I should've pointed that out really so as not to be misleading.

In fact, i think it's cheaper to buy the Weddle 3rd and 4th gears and get Aidan to rebuild your box.
