MOT man might get a bit twitchy though, they don't lke sharp bits poking out of bumpers

Presumably they could have a nice rounded profile on the end of them though couldn't they?
The Landy lot always have all sorts of junk poking out of their bumpers, they must be getting away with it somehow.

Really liking where this is heading now. :ok

Could the same or similar be done to the front also?

As far the mot is concerned the "sticky outy sharp bits" rule is "only if caused by corrosion or damage" so you can have swords poking out and it's not a fail....however...construction and use regs do mean it may not be allowed on the road legally.

But broken plastic bumper end caps will also get the MOT man's finger wagging.
Because you dont want to give someone a nasty scratch just before you break their legs and then run them over.
Daft but them's the rules.

I have seen Simon tmt's welded-in recovery loops on his Westy tow bar and they really look the business. Worth the effort, they look pretty well indestructible and won't rip your kneecaps off in the dark!
