Screw them on !!
Bottom mount is the same but you will need to drill screw holes for the top mount. I used rivinuts on mine but you can use self tappers as well.

Really, the mounts look very different to how I remember the body shape? I'll have a proper look when I get back from Norway.

Re: Fitting LT mirrors to T3 Syncro?
I have also been trying to fit LT mirrors to my Symcro and have found that the screw hole centres are different. Was hoping to use the Brickwerks bottom bracket so that it was a straight bolt on however lack of bottom gasket has scurpered that idea!!
Winch weight, what part number is stamped on the bottom bracket for your LT mirror? I think Fab is having the same issues.

Cheers guys for the help.
The part number is: 281 857. Then 513/514. Both sides same number

If you have LT mirrors they should bolt straight on. The doors are the same from T3 to LT well past 1995 and beyond.

Bucket babe
The mirrors I bought off eBay have a part number of 291 857. This different part number must effect the bottom bracket. The whole centres on my mirror are smaller than the standard centres currently on the van.

Re: Fitting LT mirrors to T3 Syncro?
LT mirrors are similar but not the same!
The arms are a different shape.
T3 mirrors fit, LT ones sort of fit with a bit of messing about.
I think there is a lot of confusion with this modification.
Some people say LT mirrors when they mean the LT style mirrors.
It would be much easier, simpler and less ambiguous if there was another name for them like folding mirrors or something.
Then we could say folding mirrors from a LT sort of work if you don't mind the bolt holes being a different spacing or the arm being the wrong shape and looking a bit... I dunno... funny.
or, we could say the folding mirrors from a T3 are a direct fit.

Re: Fitting LT mirrors to T3 Syncro?
Yes, I'm aware all T3 mirrors fold..
It just gets confusing, people say electric mirrors but you can get Folding mirrors with heated glass too!
People call the folding mirrors "syncro mirrors" but the folding mirrors were an option for both 2WD and 4WD.
