How does he / or the 'Pete' ones reinforce the hinges inside the body or do they not?

I think people would need to get an inspector to sign-off - (via google translate) "TÜV registration by individual approval"

no idea, i'm just thankful mine came with a factory one and i don't have to decide which of the inferior ones to get

I had a swingaway on my Series 2 Landy. They may be cheap but the reason why is that after a couple of years the paint falls off.
I want to build one, but to be honest buying one that is off the shelf saves the cost and effort :D

Oh and as it hangs off the wing it made the body bend :lol:
