To high idle on MV engine. What should I check for?

Post by AlexanderR »

Hi everyone!

I bought my dreamcar six months ago, Caravelle GL Syncro 1989 with double diffs, sunroof and Multivan interior! I love it! I have driven it everyday since then. There have been some issues though, but I dont mind. I will fix things along the way. I had to change the tires rightaway. Welded big holes in exhaust and get a new OC sensor. Now it runs nice and smoth.
After I changed the OC sensor the fuel consumtion droped from 1.45 to 1.1.
That was a relief.

But know for some reason fuel consumption gone up again (1.35) and I recognized that the idle is high. I am guessing about 1200-1300.

I am wondering what the problem could be? Engine starts and runs perfect though, so it feels tricky to find the problem.
I wonder if the choke i could be stuck in some way?

I would be greatful if there would be anyone with some good advice on this!

Thank you all for any answers that might pop up.

Check the temp 2 sensor, ohmmessaure between pin 6 and 10 on the terminal connection. About 2000 ohm at 20dgrC and 300ohm at 80dgrC
