Stupid question alert!!

Post by ermie571 »

ok...so I have my adored Sika syncro.

Its battered and bruised...but its still going (and after the treatment we have given it learning to drive off-road, I'm not sure how!)

so ---I have been offered a 2wd sika with no engine and box. I'm after primarily the drop downs and locker doors....but the offer to take away the whole beast is very tempting.

Can I ask how easy it is to changed the bed (which is shot on mine)?

Also - is the syncro rear trailing arm the same as the 2wd....?

thanks

the bed isnt so bad. loads of drilling and shouting but not so bad, get yourself a bit of flat bar thats about a metre long and sharpen the one end like a chisel, then you can get underneath and break whats left of the welds after drilling :ok

Crow bar is a bit thick I would say...a bar about 4 mm thick is more suited to prevent damage...there is a lot of welds, I know as I put them all back into mine on the floor Jason took off his! But it's worth the effort to get a good floor.
