Very interesting. Been on the wish list for a while.

This the time of year when you think about the snow rally again?

salen show 049a.jpg
this land rover from Lix Toll garage in Perthshire was at our local agricultural show giving a demonstration which was very impressive, the tracks are bolted straight onto the hubs using the existing wheel studs and nuts and can be fitted in 20 minutes. It is road legal and can be driven with an ordinary driving licence as it sill has ordinary steering, the max speed is about 40mph but you have to be brave to go above 30 as it tends to shake you to bits. The garage use it as a recovery / rescue vehicle in the snow in the winter and it will go almost anywhere, the demonstrator recons they could be fitted to a syncro providing there is enough clearance it would be a case of getting the drive sprocket machined to fit a syncro hub.
Have put them on my wish list but lottery would have to come up first
