Wheel clearance

Post by Tim819 »

Can anyone tell me what the average distance is from the wheel centre to the wheel arch, as I've seen anything from 30.5" up to 32" I just wonder what the norm is. :?

Sure as hell isn't 32 inches !!

Depends what your van is. Empty van or an overloaded camper, standard or upgraded springs.

Different wheels or tyres make no difference to wheel arch to center of stub axle...

If you get anything near to 20" you're doing well.

The project ride is sitting at about 20"ish+, start going anything more than that and you start to encounter driveline problems - that's my personal opinion.
