Right then....

Got my Brickwerks delivery today to replace all the CV boots - front outer. I dont know if Simon put them in on purpose or if that is how big they usually are (guessing that is how big they are in the kit) but just to confirm when you get the GKN 2wd CV boot from Brickwerks they come with the 50mm longer hex bolt so will fit the front inner with the spacer.

So even though I really wanted longer spline bolts I have settled for new Hex bolts that should be OK because I shouldn't be changing them for a good while and I can taulk them up properly. I know there has been talk of the GKN rubber quality and splitting but from what I have read it seams to be on the 16" vans with those new wonder springs on. Simon has told me that there isn't a problem with standard hight vans and once we are fully loaded up for the North Africa trip I am fairly sure the Westy will be sat within that range.


Just waiting for some spacers to arrive from The Danish Connection but at least I can build up my spare shafts while waiting. Time to get greasy :roll:
