A key aesthetic difference between 1 and 2 is that on two, assuming you cut a hole out of the side of your van you can fit a flush mounted mains point with dirt flap. Which looks much neater. On number one the mains connection point will be a sticking out at an angle thing with a blue cap on it. However you wont have to cut a gig hole for it just enough to run a cable through.

Someone else needs to tell you about the other electrical components.

hook up kit

the other differance is that picture 1 the sockets are flush and would need sinking into the wardrobe or cupboard etc

pic 2 they are not flush and would stick out basically

so in my humble opinion i would go for picture 1 the flush mounted ones

but it depends where you want to put the sockets to be honest
:D

In fact I think I'd buy separate bits to suit your van. Because I agree with orangevanman on the inside stuff.

If I had the choice.... I didnt it was already fitted......I wouldnt cut holes in me van.. I would look at putting the feed somewhere else maybe the engine bay?! You have got a flap to check the oil so you could run your cable through there?! Just a thought ...you may want to ignore everything I have just said. D

can't get the pages to load and i don't know how much they are! but i would recomend buying the parts seperately from somewhere like screwfix! this way you can get what you want! flush of surface, sigle sockets or double even fancy chrome!!

Why not use JK's portable electric hook up kit. You get 2 sockets, breaker etc on one unit attached to the cable. That way you don't need to cut any holes in the van at all. I have put a bracket on the back of mine to attach to a pole which I stick in the ground in the awning when I'm using it. Failing that it just sits in the van.
