Does anybody know where I can get a reasonably priced reconditioned alternator from? I'm in North London. (Kilburn)

I'll call them in the morning, thanks.
Perhaps I should have worded that post differently.....a second hand alternator will do just fine. I was quoted 120 pounds for a new one. Bit much I thought.

Left message on ansaphone at Synchros. I'm just wondering, can I fix my siezed up alternator myself? It just won't turn. I haven't really attempted to force it round or anything. Any suggestions? Why has it seized up after a long journey?

There should be a branch of GSF or Eurocarparts near you--google for their websites & you will find your nearest branch--

Or better still - do this:

I did that and now have a 90amp job. I was lucky - a brand new one went through ebay for £25.
