does anyone know of a tool that allows you to force oil down accellerator cables etc without having to take the cable off the vehicle, cars and bikes alike ???

used to have one of these years back in me motorbikin days, with different rubber washers to cover all cable sizes, think a motorcycle accessories place is your best chance, if they still do things like that. a handy bit of kit, as i remember. :)

You could just try using 3in1 oil and let gravity do it's stuff.

WD40 spray is pretty good too if you use the "straw" that fits into the spray outlet.

A new accelerator cable is £20 or so - maybe it is better to change it!

i want to do the accellerator on the van, plus my triumph thunderbird, and the lambretta (avatar), so new cables is out of the question. the lambretta is by far the hardest as you have to take the headset apart and disturb all the wiring, so i just want to push the oil uphill from the back of the scoot. the bike shop will probably have something motocrossers use.
