water pump for tap

Post by colouredFunk »

hello,

I'm going to be hooking up a under floor water tank, and I want to be able to turn on the tap from the actual tap, as at the moment I have to reach over to my zig unit each time.

I've got a whale tap, which has an on/off noozle, I was hoping the pump would have some sort of built in pressure switch or something, so when you just 'open' the tape it turns on........but it doesn't :(

Do some taps come with an electrical switch on them?

Thanks[/u]

you can get taps with a micro switch that will activate the pump when you turn it on, thur producing water from the actual tap! otherwise you'll need an expencive sure flow pump or similar, these are on all the time and keep a pressure in the water system, when you turn the tap on you get water, but these are usually used in conjunction with gas fired water heaters and showers!

the other option is to wire a switch in to the system that you press to get water, instead of turning on at the zig!
