Turbo on a 1.9 waterboxer...

Anyone done it, got any reccommendations, which carbs? Injection? Which turbo....

Any help really appreciated

Its been done.

It WILL go bang.

Best advise i can offer is put a bigger engine in if you want more power.

also look on you tube akciddento .. he has a whistling turbo'ed van 8)

I have heard its not very stock though, lots of money poured into it.

Shick turboed a few 2.1 Waterboxer's.
You need a good engine to start with and lots of control systems and instrumentation to keep it all under control, and a fair bit of knoweldge to match both sides of the turbo, the manifolds and wastegate to make a safe well engineered conversion

i.e. don't bother. Put a Subaru 2.2, 2.5 or a bigger engine in as was said.
