Hot start problems

Post by slobbo »

Hi eveyone. I have a 1.9TD AAZ. It starts from cold no probs but more often than not it won't start from hot. It will turn over but won't fire.

Thanks in advance
Cheers
Rob.

My 1600TD is the same. Mine will start when hot only if I quickly yank out the cold start an push it back in as soon as she fires. I think - and dont quote me - but it alters the fuel pump timing slightly when pulled out.

Ahhhh I didn't know what that lever was for. Pulled it out, pushed it back. Scratched my head and asked someone who knows.

My guess is that it is stuck on. Will trace it tomorrow.
