windy motorway wandering
thanks to all those who replied to my white smoke prob, know what to do now, ta
my van is lowered which i thought would solve the prob, but.... when its windy, especially and generally only on the motorway it wanders about all over the place and i sometimes have to fight with it to keep in my lane (in high winds). is this normal, any solutions or do i just have to brace myself. It has a pop roof so its abit higher than normal.
in fact any ideas what conversion it may be... pop roof, side opening with two windows and had a moulded fibreglass roofrack on the front part . cheers again

1) tyre pressures, check against spec for tyre type on your van
2) try the fronts up a couple psi, no more
3) check all front bsuhes, partic the radius rod bushes (BIG rubber bushes) looking at them is not enough, they'll look OK, dismantle keep the threaded nut setting and see if the meatal tube insert has rusted away.
4) spoiler, lowers the Centre of Pressure soemwhat and reduces cross-wind drag
5) Does the rear low c.f. the front? Want it slightly other way around
