Warner CTF 5000 caravan electrics

Post by gwolf65 »

Hi,
I've got an '86 T25 with a Warner electrics CTF 5000 mains /leisure electric control panel and was wondering if anyone has had or still has the same panel? What i'm looking for is any bumf on how this panel works.
I've connected a hookup cable to the van and have mains electric to my plugs whether the mains is switched on at the panel or not but was wondering whether the lights should work off the mains or does it still need to go via the leisure battery. There is a humming sound whilst the mains is switched on that sounds like a transformer so should i assume that the lights work off the leisure battery and the mains power maintains the battery charge.Does this sound about right? If anyone has any experience of these units your advice would be a great help.Thanks.

I've not got the same but the lights are usually 12v off the leisure battery. On mine the 240v charges the leisure battery.

I've actually got this unit in my 85 Caravelle.
I've also got the original wiring manual and instructions explaining what goes where if it will help you.
I can attempt to scan the doc, failing that if you email me with your fax no, or postal address I can send.
