^^ Lowered it.
The clatter is the 4 post lift ramp and yes I’ve spotted the OSR brake light issue! Image (Bulb was missing - I must have removed it when I was trying to fix the fog light)

What’s left on my list:

* Need a early square box air filter clip
* Binnacle - tell tale LEDs don’t work and clock used to, but now it’s stopped
* Cigarette lighter, replace with USB’s
* Fog light doesn’t work - I’m guessing, bad earth pin 31
* Gear Linkage needs a service
* Gearbox needs more oil ~0.5L
* Balance the rear wheels & fit the whitewalls

Purchased it 23/12/20; so it’ll be 1 year, more or less start to finish. Oh & the budget stands @ £6,860.89

Was hoping to get down there today but unfortunately couldn’t make it. Looks like a cracking turn out - did you get any bargains?!

How’s the old girl running as well, all good?

Ah shame, beautiful day if a bit nippy. Good turn out, don’t have to get there early anymore as the car park is so much bigger than Slough. I don’t bother going inside as it’s £10 entry, a queue to get in, a bit packed and 90% air cooled parts. They want £3 for tea too!! So we stay in the cab, have our flask of tea and occasionally have a walk around the car park browsing at the rusty olds. I like the commercial stuff, this blue panel split was cool, nice wheels. These prototypes must be a real challenge to drive, I'll stick to the T3's thank you!

Image

Running very well, nice pick up and tick over. Engine all sorted. I’ll let the suspension settle then get the tracking done, but it goes in a straight line, so maybe it’s ok.

Bit of understeer on roundabouts, but the tyres are old & cracked, so they need replacing. Need:
185/80 R14 (front)
205/70 R14 (rear)

See youz next time, or VolksWorld in March…

? Now, what did VW do with this Supercharger for the WBX, apart from it being the prototype for the G40 ?  :D

Still no fog light working. I believe grey/white is the correct wire for OSR lamp, I’ll put a test light on this pin to earth and see if it lights up when I put on the headlamps & fog lights. The led does light on the switch, so fairly confident switch is ok. My money is on the Hella lamp holder being the issue, but we’ll see…

Could well be an iffy earth that needs a clean up mate and could well be that lamp holder like you said. Might also be worth just giving the bottom of the bulb a light rub down as well (if the original bulb). Hopefully won’t take too long to sort.
