Top tip: if the gearbox is still in, loosen the four bolts in the front mount to chassis. That'll let it slide forward a few mm to compensate for the offset moustache bar and take the shear force off your engine mounts.

Buttoned up the heads @ 10/50Nm. I find it easier to locate the push rods into the hydraulic lifters when it’s up on an angle.

Quick mock up with the parts I have. Needs all the coolant pipe rubbers replacing and a few spring band clamps.

Hi Wilbur, I was reading this post about your 2.1 DJ rebuild with interest as i'm about to go through the same. Can I ask a couple of questions? You mentioned a rebuild in 2017 for your camper - is this engine still going well and who did the rebuild? And how is this current rebuild doing? any recommendations gratefully received
