I'm going to document the history of the '84 since my ownership (Sep 2014) & add any upgrades or fixes I do in this thread going forward. I hope you find it interesting.

Changed the alloys to 16” Mefro’s & tinted the windows

Lowered it 70mm, new brakes and Powerflex bushes up front



Went -50mm first:



Then -70mm, wanted to reduce the wheel arch gap

Early thermostat refurb & starter motor bush replaced

I dread to think what I’ve spent over the years but it’s all pretty much done now. I’ve had a few years of good reliability now & just got a new MOT today, so all is well.

...and my Mk2 daily, but that’s another story.

It’s always been dry stored throughout its life so it’s pretty decent under here:

I trailered it home from Lancashire which was a terrifying 7 hour experience. Lesson learnt; put the engine up the front near the tow hitch!

No one told me it wasn’t going to fit with an ‘up and over’ garage door, so had to fit some barn doors.
