And, several months later, house move completed and all necessary house jobs completed. Bought a genny, made a trolley, built a sound proofing enclosure for it (open on one side for heat dissipation - that side will face away from the neighbours, towards - ah, the other neighbours.)

ImageImage

Sound proofing consists of a layer of closed cell foam(cheap sleeping mat), thin layer of loft insulation, flashband, another layer of loft insulation, another layer of closed cell foam, all lining a box of 9mm ply.

Looking forward to seeing the van progress now you've got the house done Roger. :ok
I was thinking of you last Friday as I passed by Stirling in the van heading home.
I have a similar genny but didn't bother with the sound insulation as I only need it for power cuts and the neighbours come round to fill their flasks when they hear it running so they can't complain.

Nice to hear from you, hope you’d had a nice trip.
The neighbours who will be able to hear it can’t complain either, but the warders might - if they care.

Nice to see you are back in the room Roger. :ok

I think I have "done" that bit, but without making a suicide door. It was tricky getting in there.

Took this second suicide door off by drilling out the spot welds

Jinx
Is it worth shelling for Tapatalk pro? One off £9.99? Or is the image posting functionality hinted at arriving soon?

Anyway, without photos, the outside edge of my battery tray is toast, as are the inside and outside edges of the “X” panel, but the top of the chassis rail looks mostly ok!!
Looks like I’ll need to rebuild the edge of the rear valance, rear corner behind the first suicide door, front edges of the suicide doors in the seams, lower rear quarter needs replaced.

And a question, what is the function of the wavey edge inside this quarter, between the “X” panel and the wing?
On here?

Probably will buy these:-

https://alanhschofield.com/ourparts/pro ... 13368.html" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

And make the rest if I can get away with it.

ermmm, we all remember Photobucket, the business model is get the user base, then monetise them or make the service useless. This was my fear about Tapatalk all along. Do you think the £9.99 will be a one off

Do ya feel lucky punk !

I'll see if I have any photos on the wavy bit for you later
