I’ll use a steel 8mm round solid bar to punch the hinge pins out of the drop side hinges once the circlips are off, then I can work on stripping the paint in my back garden (...and will never put the drop sides back on ever again, like all good projects!)

Just insured it for £109 with HIC, which means I can now run it down to the MOT centre next week. I’m using my freebie MOT to give me a tick list of what is required. I expect the list of ‘rust’ issues to be long! I’ll post it up next week and ask for your honest opinions on whether it can be saved with beginner welding skills.

Got it out of storage today and it made the voyage home, made 60mph! Oooo, I hear you saying ! ;)
Gear linkage needs work though, keeps popping out of 3rd and can’t get 4th, no dramas other than that.

Don’t tell the Queen, I’ve parked on her road without an MOT ;)

You should be more worried about tax, if a busy body neighbor reports it you have a clamp fee + tax + fine to pay, happened to somebody I know in one night parked on road cost him over 500 quid.

Wilbur’s T3 trailer coming up for sale soon...offers over £500 I think he said.

Love the trailer - would be great for our camper and beach business - if only I would tow again (absolutely hate towing :-(

I'm going to let it go to a new home...the Velle & Mk2 are enough for me - decided.

Looks like Medium blue in that picture, LH5G, but in the ebay ad more like Cornat Blue or Guinea blue

ps, just realised the picture you showed isn't your pick up  :rollin

The loading bde looks pretty far gone, but the rest of it doesn't look too bad, you sure ?

Tag team project, I’ve done my bit to save it from the crusher. Next person to take over...

you would not have insured it if you intended to sell it.

6 points without insurance. Wasn’t worth the risk for £109. I’ll cancel the insurance once it’s gone.

I appreciate your time & knowledge during the build and the others too for their support. It’s always interesting reading build threads and I’m sure many more will hopefully take the plunge after reading, what I stumbled through with.

It passed its MOT last month and that makes me happy. One saved. Tip my cap to the new owner for getting the bodywork up to scratch.
