Pessimism, "A tendency to see the worst aspect of things or believe that the worst will happen"

Feel free to suggest what my options are. Speak openly. I can’t do metalwork and my budget is exhausted.

You’ll still need a bit of a budget but you can probably get away with £300 for a mig if you can’t borrow one, and it looks like you may need some panels. However some of the repairs will be doable with plain sheet metal which is really cheap. But it’s so much cheaper than paying someone else to do it plus you’ll know it’s done properly (or as properly as you want). Probably the only way to recoup your money.

Go and sit in a shop doorway with a sign at your feet saying " T25 to support, please help". :D
Failing that, sell your granny.
However you do it you'll need funds to sort that, I'd get a mig welder and learn to use it, it's not hard, just takes a bit of practice, it'll save you thousands in the future.
I was given a Clarke 105T welder and couldn't have afforded to pay someone to do all the work I've done with it.
even if you have to wait a while until your funds are looking healthier, don't give up on it. :ok

I have achieved my objective with this one, it goes and stops. Quite an achievement even if I say so myself. I am pleased to say another one saved. I have another! project in the wings, believe it or not so I’m going to have to move this one along. It’s not too onerous to be honest, just external panels and the sills only need 1 hour of work with a MIG.

It’s been enjoyable, educational and I can honestly say it’s going away in a better state than it arrived.

It’s in the for sale section.

Thanks for watching, Martin

I’ve still got the tin-top Velle :)

It’s not dead, it was just resting.

I will be back on it soon, quite looking forward to the next stage of the build. Metalwork, Paint, Interior, Suspension, Tyres...lots to do. Picked up a replacement dashboard from Santa Pod the other week. Moneypit, but a good hobby.
