It's git a waxy coating on it that should keep the rust off. Haha.
Yeah, simple to swap em over.
Time will tell on the oil leak but the old one had a groove where the seal sits so chances are high thats what it was.

Getting ready for takeoff-

Aye, only 6 on the ferry, went over to Morar sands to scatter herself's ashes.
-3*C last night. Up. 7:30 cos I forgot about the clocks going back so went to the beach with the dog. It was stunning.

Had to come back the long way cos the ferry was full, snow beside the road through Cluanie.

I had to look up Morar Sands, guess it was a special place for her. Turns out I've been past there last year on the steam train from Fort William to Mallaig, beautiful area, I even remember being on the quayside in Mallaig looking at the ferry and wondering, where does that go ?

I was up (from my perspective) in Stenhousemuir last weekend. It felt a good couple of degrees colder than at home but the temps have dropped this week to the point that there was snow about 15 miles away from me yesterday morning. Not quite time to switch onto the winter tyres yet though.

I just popped in to say hi. still here.
There's nothing needing done to the van at the moment so I'm not pestering Y'all with questions or begging for bits.
It's time to put the "pooh" that was 2018 behind me and be a bit more sociable.
New year, new start and new adventures in the van this year when I get the time off to go somewhere.

Good to hear from you BBB.

2018 was a pooh year for a few people I know, I hope you turn a figurative corner this year and have some enjoyable trips.

Pads were still pretty thick but had obviously been put on sh!tty discs.
Handy tip for the day... use the box the discs came in to put the caliper on, saves hanging it on wire to keep the weight off the brake line. ;-)

Well that was two years and a few thousand miles ago, now the bearings are rumbling again and looking rough.
Dunno if it's just the bad state of the roads or if I got a cheap set, can't remember what ones I got last time but I got a BW box today with two sets of FAG bearings.
Not cheap but will hopefully last longer. That's the weekend job sorted. :-)

Funny, I was just thinking about you earlier today :)

As you know FAG bearings are good, I hope the old ones come out easily
