Re: The GASWAGON (act III)
looks good betting you cant wait too get it back.
can i ask why you went with the o/e snorkel ducting opposed to the silicone alternative? i would have thought that the silicone would have been more air/water tight when clamped up and over time more durable?

Re: The GASWAGON (act III)
for one it should be quieter, pretty confident it will be a more secure fit either end as well.

untill he decides to get an external cyclone for mega dusty environments (London)
no he's right about quieter induction system, VW went to a lot of trouble with that, on a rear engined vehicle, that resonates cos it's a big can

Re: The GASWAGON (act III)
well loasds of fitting up today
spats all back on
note the arm mounts are now blick
most of the fixings are new SS
acid cleaned the contacts prior to refitting
wiring is no1/top-white, no3-brown, no4 bottom-yellow
all bracketry back onto the roof, seals etc, looks a lot more balanced now its not devoid of all its bits, this is the other rack it sits a bit lower i think which is not a bad thing
what you could really do with is another snorkel top and rubber mount
mm
