CamperJam 2019 Syncro rides for charity Results ...

Post by clift_d »

Well done everyone for this weekend - fantastic work all around, but particular mentions to Sean, Geoff, Jim, and Si for their driving endeavours, everyone who marshalled and helped in the queue, all the helpers and supporters, and Si again for all his hard work in getting it all organised. Another classic Camperjam by the Syncronauts.

Camperjam 2019 results...

Post by toomanytoys »

Updated (further down)
So. Eventually Rolled off site at 19:30 this eve.. after arriving around 1pm Thursday to get all set up

What a weekend!!!

I am bloody tired right now so a short report I am afraid...

Charity was the Midlands Air Ambulance service..
We raised a total of £1951.34 from rides and donations

I am totally stoked at the response again this year. People were so generous.
1 family of 3 put in £20 for them lots of other 4’s also donating £20 and others putting more in the donation buckets after their rides.
Several sets of friends returning time and time again. One young lady rode 5 times that Mocki and I know of..

Again... I have to give a massive thank you to the drivers and marshals. Poor Ben broke down on the way so it was down to Winchweight, crazy diamond and myself to tirelessly lap after lap. Jim-san put in a couple of stints of laps and spent the rest of the time marshalling or addressing track issues with Dave Wedgbury...

A big thank you to Brickwerks is in order for proudly sponsoring a worthy cause

So also a massive thank you to Daniel, Dr Phil, Hannah, Kirsty, Fiona, Jayne, Roger, Julia, Jenny, Clive, Mocki, Zoe, Jack, Georgie, Gilly, Ethan, Luis, Rob, Sharon and partner, Simon and Kaye from the Syncronauts team and Ian, Jayne, Ross, Mike, Liz and Rich from the Midlands Air Ambulance Charity. All of you did sterling work encouraging people in and parting there money from them, marshalling and all The other little duties easily forgotten.
I can’t thank all of you enough, I think we all had a great time despite the hectic nature of the event.

Have I missed anyone??? I apologise if I have, there was a lot going on and it was a bit hectic and still feeling the effects today...

It was a blast of a weekend, the course was getting really cut up bumpy and very chalenging by the time we finished on sunday. The Camperjam crowd were loads of fun, completely blown away by our syncro antics, had a Landy driver in mine who just didnt believe how capable our vans are, he was convinced when after he had had his ride!

Like Si said, completely worn out by the time I got home, even though it was only 25 miles!!. Just looked at the van his morning trying to work out how to clean all that mud off....thats for another day. Big thanks to all the helpers etc.

Those pics tell less than half the story of all that helped...

Anyone got more pics of the set up, queues, smiley faces and the mayhem of the track by Sunday afternoon (the trucks to were taking a bit of a beating by the time we finished...)

We have received a couple of extra generous donations in the last couple of days, so the total is over £2k now.
Thank you again.

Ha! I got him to stop by shouting “Come and see what a real off road vehicle can do!” at him as he drove past.

I am blown away by the work you guys put in, the response of people, and the amount you raised! A massive thank you for bringing a different dimension to our show - no-one else offers this kind of chance
love the comment from the Landy owner!!!! :D
Like you we dont get chance to see much of the show being tied all weekend to showfield but this year we managed to find time on Friday for Si to take us round - first time for Cee who really loved it!
Thank you all so much again....
