Adventure Overland Food theme

Post by JustSharon »

Dear all
As we have been doing for a number of events, the food theme for our community meal on Saturday night will be Thai. These meals are super lovely and great way for us all to get together in the evening.

Can people post up what their contributions will be, so we don't have too many Pad Thai meals.

I shall bring cards to label your wares and some slithers of timber for hot pans.

EDITED/ADDED BIT "We will also need tables, I shall put in one of my paste tables, it would be really appreciated if some of you can volunteer to bring some, I'm sure we will need some for the Syncro display we put together in the Coleman shelter tent."

Some ideas here for mains https://www.bbcgoodfood.com/recipes/collection/thai" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

and deserts https://www.thespruce.com/thai-dessert-recipes-3217391" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

I shall do Gaeng Kiew Wan Jay (veg curry)
It's all the little moments in life that make it a big adventure.

Yes..
Please please can people bring a table that can be used for either food or the display in the shelter as the few end up bringing many things as it is... we struggled a bit at camperjam for space to lay everything out..
Cheers :ok :ok :ok

I'll be coming in empty 4x4 LT (apart from my blow up mattress!)

I've got folding table/benches I can bring. Sits 3-4 each side of the table.

Can also bring the big paella ring and cook up some risotto if anyone's up for that? E D I T: can also do Thai green chicken curry in large number.

I'll be leaving London around 4pm. Don't know what the set up is at this show but please could anyone keep some space for my van if it starts getting crowded around you lot?

If anything else needs bringing let me know. I won't be short on room.

Thanks Mr 77,
Generally we set out the food in the Coleman 6.30/7 (ishy [we are on Syncro time so can be delayed]), everybody brings their own chair (thank you, so much for the offer of tables and chairs).

Space shouldn't be a problem but a mindful eye on when AO shut the gates on Friday arrivals might be a good idea.

I have my hands full, with creations but if anybody else is up to using a paella ring? ....
